One barn. One very big party…
This ferociously fine 8-piece band fuse Eastern European and Jewish folk music with a joyous energy to guarantee a Balkan bash of mammoth proportions. Moving seamlessly from traditional klezmer to gypsy grooves and unique takes on well-known classics, they mix up Balkan brass and fiddle with klezmer flavours to create hot, soulful party music that always gets audiences dancing with joy.
Formed in 2010 in Cambridge, The Balkanoes have played festivals and venues across the UK, including Boomtown, Bestival, Camp Bestival, Secret Garden Party, Balkanarama, Artful Badger’s Vaults Festival, Secret Cinema, Rumpus and Brixton Hootananny.
Now they’re bringing all that big brass, Balkan energy and festival spirit to a Devon barn for their first ever Devon gig. Expect dancing, joyous chaos and one seriously memorable night.
