Job Title: Freelance Project Evaluator, Beaford Archive: The Lost Decades
Location: Remote/flexible working with some travel in North Devon as required
Fee: Up to £5,000 (inclusive of VAT, travel and expenses)
Status: Freelance contract
Timescale: September 2025 – end of April 2027
About the Role
Beaford is seeking a Freelance Project Evaluator to work alongside the Curator and Project Steering Group to develop and deliver a clear, meaningful evaluation for The Lost Decades - a major heritage project focused on preserving and expanding North Devon’s photographic history.
We welcome proposals from individuals or consultancies with:
A strong understanding of the community heritage sector
Proven experience within funded projects
Expertise in designing and implementing both formative and summative evaluation
The Evaluator will be responsible for:
Shaping and agreeing evaluation methodology
Attending progress meetings
Delivering a final report to the Curator
This role is vital to capturing the impact of the project and helping secure its long-term legacy.
