A river flowing quick and fierce, a flood rising, the dark depths of a still, silent lake. A life hidden underneath the surface. And a ferryman, sat above, crossing to and fro, to and fro, to and fro.
Theatre Workhouse are teaming up with the Biosphere, Beaford and the people of Swimbridge, Landkey and Bishops Tawton to explore the stories of the water- what evils lurk beneath the surface? Water daemons? Nymphs? Phosphorous? Or something else entirely?
Starting in Swimbridge Jubilee Hall, and including a lantern procession out to the playing fields, Dark Waters is an alternative theatrical offer as we enter the darker half of the year, celebrating coming together with each other as the light draws in.
There will also be opportunities to get involved with Theatre Workhouse in the lead up to the performances.
