Join Nicky Ruddick and learn the skills to create a very special collaged portrait. This could be a self portrait, picture of a family member or someone famous that you like. Using a photo as a starting point, you’ll create an outline and explore how to layer the facial features using colours and images which are personal and meaningful. You’ll start the day with a talk and short guided meditation, and throughout the day you will have time to stop and reflect. You might want to write in response and add this into the final image.
You don't need any experience as Nicky will guide you through the whole process. You don't even need to be artistic - experiments and mistakes sometimes make the most interesting collages! You will need to bring a photo of yourself/your chosen person (face/head works best), printed onto A4 paper. All other materials will be provided. 5 hours, including breaks (tea and coffee provided)
