Energetic young Belgian band WÖR inject new energy into old tunes from uncovered manuscripts of their homelands from the 18th century.

Almost 300 years ago, some musicians from around Antwerp, Brussels, Gent and Leuven decided to write down their favourite music. However, as time passed the music was left to gather dust along with the faded manuscripts.... that is, until now!

With their finely textured arrangements, WÖR perform on an array of instruments including saxophone, violin, bagpipes, accordion and guitar, shining an inventive spotlight with a modern twist on tunes from these manuscripts.

WÖR…storm, swing, and stomp like a classical quintet adding a dash of folk-rock to a bewigged cotillion.
