Artform Specialisms:

Story Craft and Performance Storytelling with Lisa Schneidau

Learn how to create and tell compelling stories that will enchant your audience, learning tricks and tips for performance storytelling. Working with a local story, combining the elements to make a good tale, and by the end, explore telling the story in your own unique way.

Visual Art with Caroline Preston

Whether it’s 2D drawing, painting and mixed media, or 3D design for props and backdrops, exploring shadow silhouette stories or craft, cartoons, and caricatures… there’s something for all interests in visual art.

Photography and Film with Dave Green and Matt Biggs

Using the Lumix and GoPro cameras you will be develop your understanding and practical skills in photography and film. Using the flexibility and freedom granted to us in the Bridge Chambers building you will be able to set up and experience working in a professional media studio.


Focusing on a story local to North Devon and working in residence with an art form specialist, young people will develop their skills and knowledge in their choice of visual art, storytelling or photography & film.

Join our professional subject specialist tutors who work in local schools, and on community projects, as they deliver this summer school for ages 8-14. Whether you attend for only one day, or every day, we invite you to make Bridge Hall your home to create a symphony of stories in your chosen artform.

Each day we will:

  • Take inspiration from outdoors

  • Build confidence, curiosity & creativity

  • Have fun working with artists and like minded peers

  • Book all 3 dates to save £15 (£45 per session)

  • There are a limited number of bursary sessions available for children in receipt of Pupil Premium
