Participate in this free Practical Photography workshop to explore street portraiture around Bideford with exhibition curator and photographer Vanessa Cardui.
Throughout the day you will focus on street portraiture techniques and experiment with different approaches and styles to taking portraits of people you meet in the street. Bring your own camera or phone (analogue cameras are welcome too) and enjoy making time to look at the streets from a range of perspectives as you photograph throughout the town. Vanessa will help you and guide you, as well as giving you the freedom to explore your own ideas.
This workshop is aimed at 16+ and will see participants walking and working throughout the town. Therefore, please do bring clothing and footwear suitable for the day and weather, along with money to grab lunch whilst out photographing, or you are welcome to bring your own lunch. We also have the base of The Kingsley Room at the Burton where the workshop will start, and you will return to at various points during the day.
